Baby Love Card

I could make baby cards all day long! Everyday! They are my absolute favourite. However, I don’t know anyone who is preggy or is planning on having a baby anytime soon. So reluctantly I don’t make too many baby cards; my stash is already full! But when a challenge comes along, I just have to make one anyway!

I used some My Mind’s Eye papers for this card, they weren’t baby themed, they just happened to include the colours I wanted to use. I cut the baby word with a die from Winnie & Walter from Ellen Hutson Craft-a-Board (CAB) twice, glued them together then covered it in patterned paper. I did the same with the Simon Says Stamp love die, though I only used one layer of CAB and I shaded the yellow paper with Distress ink so it was a shade darker than same paper which I used on the base. The banner was cut using a die from PTI. I love those tiny scattered hearts. The vellum panel is actually two layers, the striped layer was very, very translucent so I added a layer of plain vellum underneath. Both were cut with Stitched Rectangle dies by Simon Says Stamp. Once that was all glued down, I added some sequins and gems to the background. Last but not least, I added tiny flowers to the Baby word based on the inspiration from the photo. In the end, I totally loved this card. It’s one of my faves! What do you think? Leave me a comment below and don’t forget to subscribe to make sure you don’t miss any of my crafty posts.

Enjoy, Rebecca
