Ok, ok, yeah that’s not really a thing, it’s just World Card Making Day. But since I missed posting a card yesterday, I’m making it a weekend thing. That means I’m not actually late!! Hee Hee!!
My order from Concord & 9th just arrived with a fabulous Thankful Leaves Turnabout stamp and die combo included. I don’t particularly like fall, the colours aren’t my jam really and it means winter is just around the corner. But this year I decided to embrace fall by buying some stamps and dies as well as getting some supplies for some fall décor from the dollar store.
If you aren’t familiar with Turnabout stamps, it’s a background stamp with the images placed in such a way that stamping it 4 times using a stamp positioner, turning the paper each time, gives you a full background image! Clever right? Because I don’t like traditional fall colours, I went with some pinks and purples! I used Scarlet Jewel, Autumn Rose (aptly named right??), and believe it or not, on the kraft cardstock, Raspberry Fizz looks right at home. For the last stamping I added some copper embossing powder. I think rose gold would have looked nice too.
Next I die cut the large matching leaf die from the center of the card. The large leaf actually comes in two parts, the outline and the detail inside. I only needed the outline in this case but it will be fun to try layering them as tags, one outline cut in patterned paper and the outline and detail together in a solid cardstock layered on top. Then I cut the outline and detail together out of Scarlet Jewel paper to layer in the die cut space. I added a bunch of different sequins from Lucy’s Little Things to the shaker. Some Nuvo drops added a bit of texture to the card base. I die cut the Painted Hello die from Simon Says Stamp 4 times from kraft cardstock then added embossing ink and copper embossing powder.

Enjoy, Rebecca
