Elegant Rose Card with Foiled Paper

Wow! I can’t believe April is almost over!! That’s nuts! This week for my hostess challenge at the Crazy 4 Challenges blog, I chose foiling! I have several links to tutorials for using foil both with a laminating machine and with other adhesives.

I was inspired to choose foiling for one of my challenges by a bunch of Kaisercraft paper packs I bought a few months ago. Almost all of them include some foiling. I have done some foiling but it seems to be my Kryptonite, it never turns out quite right. But I haven’t used it with alcohol inks yet so that’s my next thing to try. Oh, I just remembered, I can get foiling to work with Scor-Tape. It’s so sticky that it turns out perfectly. So even if you are foiling-challenged, there’s likely one technique that will work for you.

My card used the Build-a-Flower Rose stamps from Altenew. I used their inks as well. The sentiment comes from the same set. Both banners are from Honey Bee Stamps, two different sets. I heat embossed the smile sentiment. It’s really a great saying, you certainly can’t smile at someone then go on to hurt them. The intricate die is from Crafter’s Companion, it came with my Gemini Jr machine.

It’s your last chance to play along with one of my challenges for the month! Hope to see you there.

Enjoy, Rebecca
